Temperature-Controlled

What is refrigerated transportation?

Refrigerated transportation, often referred to as reefer transportation, involves the movement of temperature-sensitive goods in specialized vehicles equipped with refrigeration units to maintain specific temperature ranges throughout the journey.

What types of goods require refrigerated transportation?

Goods that are perishable or sensitive to temperature fluctuations, such as fresh produce, dairy products, meat, seafood, pharmaceuticals, and certain chemicals, often require refrigerated transportation to preserve their quality and safety.

How does refrigerated transportation work?

Refrigerated trucks or containers are equipped with cooling systems that regulate the temperature inside the storage area. These systems can maintain temperatures anywhere from below freezing to above room temperature, depending on the requirements of the cargo being transported.

What temperature ranges can refrigerated transportation maintain?

Refrigerated transportation systems can maintain a wide range of temperatures, typically from as low as -20°C (-4°F) for frozen goods to as high as 25°C (77°F) for certain perishable items like fruits and vegetables.
